Fame is the bridge between movement and levels in Fan per Step. The official description says moving earns Fame, Fame progression raises levels, and Fans boost Fame gain. Every ten levels reaches another regular Fan milestone, which feeds back into faster Fame progress. That cyclical relationship is why standing still or optimizing only one isolated purchase misses the game's main system.
Play Buttons are the other confirmed Fame-per-step lever. Equip the strongest displayed option available to you and compare the Fame readout during a consistent movement sample. Fans, Play Buttons, worlds and rebirths may interact, but their precise stacking order and base units were not available. We therefore avoid publishing a fake multiplier calculator.
When progress slows, identify the bottleneck before spending. Check that movement registers, the intended Play Button is equipped, a nearby gate is not redirecting your route, and a rebirth is not due. Auto Wins can move the player through the run while collecting rewards, but it should not be described as a guaranteed optimal Fame method without controlled timing data.
